Throw Them To The Lions!

Nirvana Bootography Rating: A  92%

Nirvana Bootography Review:
Throw Them To The Lions! is yet another disc containing the February 22, 1994 show; one of the most popular shows to ever be bootlegged. The best source for this performance is XXII II MCMXCIV because it is the pre-FM broadcast and does not contain the hiss found on discs (like Roma) that we created from the FM broadcast.

This disc, like XXII II MCMXCIV is taken from the pre-FM broadcast, however, it still has some shortcomings. 37 seconds into track 3 you will a sound hiccup that likely occured when the show was being transferred to CD. Also, all tracks are shorter in length than XXII II MCMXCIV, which means the source *might* be slightly sped up or there could be some editing between some of the tracks. If there is editing, I was unable to detect it.

The bonus tracks (24 and 25) are from the April 17, 1987 KAOS session... this session has proven to be popular "filler" for a number of bootlegs ever since Outcesticide V was released.

Because there are SO many discs containing the February 22, 1994 performance, the slightest error is critical to the Bootography rating of the disc. These small flaws and the lack of decent artwork drop this discs rating to 92%, but keep in mind that this is a VERY reasonable substitute for any other disc containing this show. Many discs are lacking the "I'm a rockstar" drum solo and/or have the tracks out of order. This title would rank just behind XXII II MCMXCIV and Roma.
