Notes
On 1991.05.29 there's a short jam which sounds exactly like "Play That Funky Music" by Wild Cherry. However that song is a rip off from a song by Sly and the Family Stone song called "Thank You" (a.k.a. Friends). Which song the band intended to cover is unknown but since "Play That Funky Music" is better known the DN Song Guide list the jam under that name. There's no vocals on the jam.

Lyrics
The original version of "Play That Funky Music" as it was performed by Wild Cherry

Hey do it now
Yeah hey

Yeah, there once was a funky singer
Playin' in a rock & Roll Band
And never had no problems, yeah
Burnin' down one night stands
And everything around me, yeah
Got to stop to feelin' so low
And I decided quickly, yes I did
To disco down and check out the show

Yeah they was Dancin' and singin' and movin' to the groovin'
And just when it hit me somebody turned around and shouted

Play that funky music white boy
Play that funky music right
Play that funky music white boy
Lay down that boogie and play that funky music till you die
Till you die, oh till you die

Gonna play that electified funky music, yeah

Hey wait a minute
Now first it wasn't easy
Changin' Rock & Roll and minds
And things were getting shaky
I thought I'd have to leave it behind
But now its so much better - its so much better
I'm funking out in every way
But I'll never lose that feelin' - no I won't
Of how I learned my lesson that day

When they were dancin' and singin' and movin' to the groovin'
And just when it hit me somebody turned around and shouted

Play that funky music white boy
Play that funky music right
Play that funky music white boy
Lay down that boogie and play that funky music till you die
Till you die, oh till you die

They shouted play that funky music
Play that funky music
Play that funky music
Gotta keep on playin' funky music
Play that funky music

The original version of Thank you as it was performed by Sly and the Family Stone

Lookin' at the devil
Grinnin' at his gun.
Fingers start shakin'
I begin to run.

Bullets start chasin'
I begin to stop.
We begin to wrestle
I was on the top.

I want to
Thank you falettinme be mice elf
Agin.
Thank you falettinme be mice elf
Agin.

Stiff all in the collar
Fluffy in the face.
Chit chat chatter tryin'
I begin to run.

Want to
Thank you for the party, I could never stay.
Many thangs is on my mind, Words in the way.

I want to
Thank you falettinme be mice elf
Agin.
Thank you falettinme be mice elf
Agin.

Dance to the music,
All nite long.
Ev'ry day people,
Sing a simple song.

Mama's so happy
Mama start to cry.
Papa still singin'
You can make it if you try.

I want to
Thank you falettinme be mice elf
Agin.
Thank you falettinme be mice elf
Agin.

Flamin' eyes of people fear, Burnin' into you.
Many men are missin' much, Hatin' what they do.
Youth and Truth are makin' love,
Dig it for a starter.
Dyin' young is hard to take,
Sellin' out is harder.

Thank you falettinme be mice elf
Agin.
I want to
Thank you falettinme be mice elf
Agin.
Thank you falettinme be mice elf
Agin.
Thank you falettinme be mice elf
Agin.
I want to
Thank you falettinme be mice elf
Agin.
I want to
Thank you falettinme be mice elf
Agin.
I want to
Thank you falettinme be mice elf
Agin.
I want to
Thank you falettinme be mice elf
Agin.
