Christmas In Seattle 1988

Live Nirvana Bootography Review:
Pretty good early show, but it sounds kind of "muddy" & "drowned out." It is an audience recording from the "Sub Pop 200" release party. It is missing the intro to the show which is available on the disc "Live In Seattle." An extremely nice "important" show which Nirvana played. Too bad the recording isn't that dynamic.

I think the art is pretty good.... better than the disc "Live In Seattle" anyway. The sound quality of the two discs is about the same. "Live In Seattle" combines the "Intro" with the first track... the Intro is an excerpt from "The Raven," some added commentary and an introduction of the band by one of the head Sub Pop guys (Poneman??).... you might want to listen to it twice, and then you won't care about it again. "Christmas In Seattle 1988" does include the bonus tracks and the art is a little nicer... I would recommend it slightly over "Live In Seattle," but either way, it's a very cool performance by a fledgling band.

First, I don't own this disc myself, but one of my many friends has it. I've listened to it quite a lot. This is one of the best bootlegs I've ever come over. The sound quality isn't the best, but it is better than good enough. This is the best bootleg containing Bleach-era songs live, in my opinion. If I was to give examples, I may as well show you the whole track list. Pen Cap Hew and Blandest are the "rare" songs on the disc. If you haven't got those, I especially recommend this disc. This is the best version (that I have heard) of Pen Cap Chew. The artwork is great as well. I recommend this disc to everyone. It should be in every collection. I'll be sure to pick it up the next time I find it! You should, too.
