Smells Like... (Vol. 1)

Live Nirvana Bootography Rating: D  64%

Live Nirvana Bootography Review:
Well it's a shame that this show is incomplete. It is also speed up just a little. And these other "live" tracks... ??? I would much rather have thecommon demos as filler instead of ruining it with overdubbed crowd noise. This is an average audience recording. The cymbals are quite loud. It's an extremely fast paced show, in my opinion, there are better '89shows. I would recommend trying to find "Where Were You In '89" since that contains a complete recording of this show. "Smells Like.."was released in 1993 on Banana (An Aussie label) and is a exact clone of"Blew" or vice versa. Anyway, theyare both fairly tough to find nowadays. The disc itself looks to be gold plated... I question the 1993 pressing date... They may just be trying to look like they were the first ones to release it. All of these Aussie companies were shut down
