Notes for AUD #1: Surfaced in July 2005.
Notes for SBD #1: 'Scentless Apprentice' only. Mixed by Andy Wallace. See Live Nirvana's Companion To Official Releases for more information on this commercial release.
Notes for AMT #1: Amateur video, believed to have been shot by Eric Erlandson. Commences with backstage footage not present on any of the other sources. There are a number of cuts: 'Radio Friendly Unit Shifter' (intro cuts in), 'Sliver' (cuts in), 'School' (cuts off), 'Come As You Are' (cuts in & off, and has a cut within it) and 'Lithium' (cuts in). A 1st generation tape has been transferred to DVD; see Live Nirvana's DVD Guide for more information.
Notes for PRO #1a: Multi camera PRO-shot video, with soundboard audio, broadcast by MTV. Missing 'Sliver', 'All Apologies', 'Blew', 'The Man Who Sold The World', 'School', 'Come As You Are', 'About A Girl'. Most of the end-of-show jam is cut. Includes the decapitation of the In Utero angel during the jam. A 1st generation stereo tape has been transferred to DVD; see Live Nirvana's DVD Guide for more information. The audio portion is also circulating on CDR. Better quality than PRO #1c, but with less end-of-show noise. The broadcast mix omits the echoed 'said's during' Breed' chorus and has some fake crowd noise added between the songs.
Notes for PRO #1b: The soundboard audio used to make this bootleg CD was sourced from the same MTV broadcast as PRO #1a above, but is slightly different. This source is missing the same songs as PRO #1a, but it does features an extra two minutes of the jam at the end. 'Aqua Seafoam Shame' is the best sounding of the many bootleg releases of this show and this bootleg sounds very slightly better than PRO #1a. See Live Nirvana's Bootography Guide To Nirvana Bootlegs for more information on commercial releases of this show. Better quality than PRO #1c, but with less end-of-show noise. The broadcast mix omits the echoed 'said's during' Breed' chorus and has some fake crowd noise added between the songs.
Notes for PRO #1c: Multi camera PRO-shot video, with soundboard audio, broadcast by MTV Europe broadcast. Missing the same songs as PRO #1a and #1b, but includes the decapitation of the In Utero angel and the end-of-show jam missing from PRO #1a. Unfortunately the circulating source has lower audio quality as it was recorded in mono. The broadcast mix omits the echoed 'said's during' Breed' chorus and has some fake crowd noise added between the songs.
Notes for PRO #2a: Multi camera PRO-shot video, with soundboard audio, broadcast by MTV Europe broadcast. Missing the same songs as the PRO #1 sources and does not include the decapitation of the In Utero angel, using alternate camera angles as a result. However, it does includes the end jam. Circulating on DVD from a mono digital satellite broadcast; see Live Nirvana's DVD Guide for more information. The broadcast mix omits the echoed 'said's during' Breed' chorus and has some fake crowd noise added between the songs.
Notes for PRO #2b: Stereo version of PRO #2a - circulating in audio form only. The broadcast mix omits the echoed 'said's during' Breed' chorus and has some fake crowd noise added between the songs.
Notes for PRO CLIP #1: Multi camera PRO-shot video, with soundboard audio, broadcast by MTV Europe broadcast. Feature a clip of 'The Man Who Sold The World' only. Han an interview over most of the audio.
SPECIAL NOTES Special thanks to Tim Bucknall and Kris Sproul for their painstaking analysis of these sources.
