Notes for SBD #1a: Complete pre-FM soundboard recording. This is the best sounding and most complete source overall (it is just missing some drumbeats at the very start of the show that are present on SBD #1b). This pre-FM source can be found on bootlegs, but bootlegs are sourced from the trading circle version and so should be avoided; see Live Nirvana's Bootography Guide To Nirvana Bootlegs for more information on commercial releases of this show.
Notes for SBD #1b: Incomplete post-FM radio broadcast. Professionally remixed by Phil McKellar in 1999 and broadcast on Triple J Radio in 2005. Includes 9 songs only: 'About A Girl', 'Come As You Are', 'Lithium', 'Breed', 'Polly', 'Lounge Act', 'Love Buzz', 'Negative Creep' and 'Blew'. Lower quality and less complete than SBD #1a overall but this version does include some additional drumbeats at the start of the show.
Notes for SBD #2: Incomplete post-FM broadcast. Professionally remixed by Phil McKellar in 1992 and aired in 1992 on Triple J Radio. Includes 7 songs only: 'About A Girl', 'Come As You Are', 'Breed', 'Polly', 'Lounge Act', 'Love Buzz' and 'Lithium'. 'Lithium's'placement was changed to last on the broadcast. In September 2010 a FM>ANA(1)>CDR(1)>FLAC version of this source was circulated replacing the older FM>DAT(2)>FLAC copy and the version of this source on the bootleg 'Mindblower'; see Live Nirvana's Bootography Guide To Nirvana Bootlegs for more information on commercial releases of this show.
Notes for SBD #3: Incomplete post-FM broadcast. Original live mix, aired in 1998 on Triple J Radio. Includes 3 songs only: 'Negative Creep', 'On A Plain' and 'Blew'. In July 2010 a FM>DAT(2)>FLAC version was circulated, replacing older FM>ANA(1) versions.
SPECIAL NOTES Special thanks to Tim Bucknall and Kris Sproul for their painstaking analysis of these sources.
