Live Nirvana Bootography Review:
This is a good 1990 show with excellent sound for it's date. It was released in 1992; I picked it up in England in the spring of 1994. The individual track times differ from the Blind Pig bootleg but the disc was actually mastered from the same vinyl source and contain pops and crackles throughout. You can hear the audience talk, the master was definitely audience recorded.

During the first track you can hear some sound adjustments (treble and balance, probably done during the concert by the taper). Love Buzz has an excellent noisy overdrive guitar intro. Dive is announced as a new song. Just before Spank Through, Krist makes a joke about beer being served in Dixie cups. I the beginning of Big Cheese you can hear some strange bass and distortion sounds in the background (could the distortion be a recording problem 'caused by the bass). Before Been a Son, Krist informs the public about their Blew EP. The public start yelling when Negative Creep starts (do they know it?, or do they just like the fast tempo?). After Negative Creep someone's video camera is taken, he starts yelling "F##k the photographer, you can't take whatever is motherf##king mine" and some other things. Someone in the audience notices "that guy has got a problem". Then Krist says "Thanks a lot, that was really cool, you guys are great, I look out on all of you right now and I see greatness.... So you have a low self-esteem that's ok, we all have that once in a while".

I go along with the Blind Pig review and cite a part: "The band sounds good and Krist makes a joke about the beer being served in Dixie cups. There is very little talk and there are no rarities played. While the disc is solid in all aspects, there is nothing spectacular that makes it truly stand out. "Blind Pig [Beginnings]" is great to pick up for an early ninety's show."
